3. Fyring i brændeovnen Vigtige sikkerhedsoplysninger • • • • Brændeovnen bliver varm under brug, og der skal derfor udvises fornøden forsigtighed. Opbevar aldrig letantændelige væsker som benzin i nærheden af brændeovnen. Anvend aldrig letantændelige væsker til at antænde brændet i brændeovnen. Tøm aldrig askeskuffen, når brændeovnen er varm. Der kan ligge gløder i askeskuffen i op til 24 timer efter, at ilden er gået ud. Vent derfor med at tømme askeskuffen til du er sikker på, at der ingen gløder er i asken. Lågen skal være lukket, mens brændeovnen er i brug. Kun de første minutter under optænding...

Hvis du overfyrer brændeovnen og afbrænder mere end ca. 3,0 kg træ i timen, er der risiko for, at lakken på ovnen misfarves og senere falder af. Ovnen kan senere efterlakeres, men det er ikke omfattet af producentens garanti. 3.3 Hvordan fyrer jeg i min brændeovn? Brændeovnen er beregnet til intermitterende forbrænding. Dette betyder, at hver påfyring brændes ned til gløder, før der genpåfyres. For at få den bedste forbrænding skal du regulere effekten/varmemængden med brændslet. Små stykker brænde giver kraftigere forbrænding end store stykker brænde, da overfladen er større, og der bliver frigivet mere gas. Dernæst afgør mængden af træ i brændkammeret også forbrændingen.
