New SNS Process Pumps Range - 1

New SNS Process Pumps Range Modern industry demands more energy efficient solutions so we’ve broken the conventions in the name of efficiency. Sulzer’s new SNS pump range has been designed to exceed the highest energy efficiency regulations across all industries and also the design requirements of ISO 5199 international standard. The innovative design makes the pump more reliable while significantly reducing total cost of ownership. Maximum efficiency • The highest efficiency on the process pump market • Exceeding EU’s (European Union) requirements for energy-related products (ErP) • Highest efficiency across the whole pump range, exceeding the benchmark efficiency index MEI 0.7 (Minimum Efficiency Index) Improved reliability New, state-of-the art hydraulics ensure optimum capacity with low net positive suction head required (NPSHr): • Optimized shaft sealing chamber and innovative balancing holes to maximize the lifetime of the seal • Trouble-free Sulzer mechanical seals • Heavy-duty bearing units with long bearing life and leakage free construction Minimized total cost of ownership (TCO) The innovative design means higher efficiency that translates to lower energy consumption. Coupled with this, high standardization, easy installation and unique construction also equate to lower maintenance and operating costs. Main applications The SNS pump has been designed to meet the process requirements of versatile general and industrial applications in following conditions (see the table). Viscous liquids Fibrous slurries

Operating data Minimum efficiency index European Union (EU) has created ErP (Energy-related Products) regulations specifying minimum efficiency values for water pumps with the target of reducing energy consumption. The regulations contain a minimum efficiency index (MEI), which was set up to be > 0.4 since beginning of 2015. This means that 40% of the pumps currently on the market do not comply. Only the pumps and motors which satisfy the energy efficiency requirements of the EU’s ErP Directive may be made available for sale. The SNS process pump range not only meets the criteria, but...
