Overview
Lamishield is an antibacterial high-pressure laminate (HPL) produced by Abet Laminati. It incorporates antibacterial protection within its decorative layer, significantly reducing the risk of cross-contamination when used alongside proper hygiene and cleaning practices.

Applications
Lamishield is suitable for use in various environments such as hospitals, medical centers, laboratories, swimming pools, gyms, public toilets, and kitchens.

Specifications
Laboratory tests conducted according to ISO 22196:2011 demonstrate that Lamishield, protected by BioCote® technology, can reduce bacterial levels by up to 99.9%. The product undergoes regular quality control to ensure consistent performance.

BioCote® Technology
BioCote® is a leading antimicrobial technology that uses the natural properties of silver to provide continuous antibacterial protection throughout the product's lifecycle. This technology does not alter the laminate's normal performance or appearance. BioCote® complies with biocide regulations and is approved for food contact by EFSA and FDA.

Mechanism of Action
Silver ions in BioCote® interact with bacterial proteins, damaging cells, blocking DNA replication, and promoting reactive oxygen species formation, which inhibits the growth of bacteria, mould, and fungi.
