BUILDING RANGE / Protection and Decoration Kerakover Acrilsilossanico Water-repellent, strengthening, high diffusion power protective product. Kerakover Acrilsilossanico is based on resins in a solvent solution and acts on natural and artificial stone materials without altering their breathability. Specifically intended for EN 1504-2 compliant concrete. Do not use On gypsum walls, horizontal surfaces or in the presence of water under pressure. Preparation of substrates The continuity of the substrate must be checked before applying the product (eliminating cracks, joints, and disconnections). The surfaces to be protected must be solid and stable to prevent fractures in the protective finish and leaving some areas of the substrate unprotected. The surfaces to be treated must be free from traces of solvents, detergents, organic deposits or saline efflorescence. In the presence of mould, first repair with Kerakover Activ product. Cleaning must be done with a high pressure wash depending on the consistency of the substrate. After cleaning the surface, it is important to wait until it is completely dry before applying Kerakover Acrilsilossanico. Protect all surfaces that could be damaged. For the treatment of substrates other than those mentioned and for additional information on the types of intervention to be carried out, we recommend to consult Kerakoll’s Guide to decorating and preparing substrates. Preparation Kerakover Acrilsilossanico is ready-to-use and does not require dilution with either solvents or water. Application Apply only to absorbent substrates that are not exposed to direct sunlight, frost or wind. Kerakover Acrilsilossanico can be applied with a brush or low pressure spray at a distance of approx. 15 cm from the surface. For vertical surfaces, work from the bottom upwards, wet-on-wet, until saturation point. Protect impregnated surfaces from rain for at least 3 to 4 days. To ensure the long-life of the surface and to prevent fractures, it is recommended that the product penetrate as deeply as possible. SPECIAL NOTES Waterproof protection with Kerakover Acrilsilossanico is not suitable for the waterproofing of terraces, basements, exterior foundation walls, water containers. Check the producer’s technical data sheets for possible incompatibility with some masonry elements. The product does not alter the colour of the substrates; on some surfaces it may give a slight wet effect depending on their absorption capacity.
