Bell Bell Table by Decode Studio explores the structural properties of sheet plastic, normally used in packaging or as surface lamination. By creating a concertina, the table folds out into a sturdy matrix six times its original volume. The table’s sweeping interior is reminiscent of the contours of brass instruments and gives this two dimensional material an unexpected and fluid three-dimensional form, which is held in place by polished stainless steel clips.
