The objective, across all application areas, is a lighting solution that takes into account human aspects and also ensures optimum utilisation of energy. People-focussed criteria for outstanding lighting quality have been defined in a total of five areas: visual performance, appearance, visual comfort, emotion and individuality. Energy efficiency is calculated strictly mathematically by taking the consumption per square metre per annum. LED technology is inherently economical and reveals its particular strengths in any application area where the desired lighting quality cannot be achieved by reducing the lighting intensity or by using daylight. Museums and art galleries, shops and exhibition spaces often need very intense, changing coloured light. TEMPURA offers the entire range of RGB colours plus the full range of colour temperatures. Light intensity is independently adjustable. Its cool, absolutely UV- and IRfree light makes the TEMPURA LED spotlight unbeatable. Thanks to innovative lighting technology, it takes just 44 W to produce its 1000 lumen luminous flux ­ which creates the same lighting level as a 100 W halogen lamp. Calculated over the luminaire's full service life, energy consumption can be halved ­ it is also totally maintenance free and provides stable lighting quality for over 50,000 hours. Integrating presence detectors and time-based control such as that provided by LUXMATE EMOTION creates scope for cutting energy con- sumption still further.
