Der Idee einer modular flexiblen Deckenkonstruktion folgend, ent-wickelte Zumtobel ein formal unauffälliges und einfach inte- grierbares Einbausystem. Mit variabel einsetzbaren Lichtbau-steinen deckt KAROS ein breites Anwendungsgebiet ab: direkte Allgemeinbeleuchtung und akzentuierendes Licht in ein- und demselben System. Der KAROS Basisrahmen ist in neun Felder unterteilt, das jedes für sich werkzeuglos befüllt und wieder umplatziert werden kann. Zur Wahl stehen ein fixes Downlight sowie ein 355 Grad dreh- und 40 Grad schwenkbares Strahler-modul. Ungenutzte Felder werden einfach mit Abdeckplatten gefüllt. Ein kleiner Einbaurahmen, der als einzelner Lichtpunkt platziert und mit den gleichen Lichtbausteinen bestückt werden kann, komplet-tiert das flexible Einbausystem. Building on the idea of a modular, flexible ceiling structure, Zumtobel has developed an unobtrusive and easy-to-install recessed system. With lighting modules that can be used in various ways, KAROS opens up a raft of different ap- plications: direct general lighting and accent lighting using just one single system. The KAROS basic frame is split into nine bays, which can each be fitted with a lamp and be relocated without the use of any tool. There is a choice of a fixed downlight or a spotlight module which rotates through 355° and pivots through 40°. Bays that are not used are simply covered by a blanking plate. A small mounting frame, which is placed as an individual lighting point and can be fitted with the same lighting modules, rounds out this flexible recessed system.
