SYSTEM LED FLOODLINE Modular wallwashing light lines

One new and especially appeal-ing application of LED lighting technology includes wallwashing, using SYSTEM LED FLOODLINE for instance. For such applica- tions it is not just exceptional illumination output that is cru- cially decisive, but also the modular luminaire design which supports almost unlimited Spa- tially extendable projection of light which is available in white (6,000 K), blue or RGB for col- ourchanging applications.As with the “DECOLINE” version, individual 250 and 750 mm long modules can be seamlessly joined and precisely adapted to suit architectural constraints. This applies both indoors and outdoors: two models are avail- able with IP40 and IP65 protec- tion respectively. The modules are attached to the support structure using backplates. The UV-free and extremely IR-low light avoids heat stress and fad-ing of illuminated surfaces or objects. This is, for example, a major advantage in museums housing sensitive exhibits. In addition, SELV operation using separate control gear offers an extremely high level of electrical safety (same as with SYSTEM LED DECOLINE). Relatively long runs of SYSTEM LED FLOODLINE can be installed really easily and precisely by using mounting channels. These modules also snap into a 3,000 mm mounting channel and are connected by plug-and- socket connections without the use of any tool. The mounting channel is easily cut to length on site. Modules can be arranged in any configuration. One interest- ing application, for example, is using SYSTEM LED FLOODLINE to frame an alcove. This allows really attention-grabbing presen- tation of items in showrooms or shops. Illuminance levels must be calculated using standard lighting design software. Power consumption per 750 mm mod- ule is 15 W and 9 W for circuit boards with white LEDs and blue LEDs respectively and just 15 W for RGB circuit boards.One particular advantage of LED technology in general is long service life. Service life is affect- ed significantly by the luminaire’s cooling system. SYSTEM LED FLOODLINE luminaire units are designed to ensure appropriate cooling and additional measures are not necessary.
