Because ORILED was designed as a functional luminaire, partic- ular attention was paid to per- formance data. The diagram on the left shows the distribution of lighting intensity at ground level. Results show that the require- ments concerning illuminance for escape routes according to EN 1838 are significantly exceeded – with minimal energy consumption and maximum cost-effectiveness. Even retrofit- ting ORILED in existing projects is simple thanks to its aluminium surface-mounted housing. Because of its compact dimen- sions, for renovation projects ORILED can also be adapted to suit existing bays. In case of installation in cavity walls, dimmable and switchable control gear makes it possible to form groups of up to three ORILED luminaires.
