ONLITE local Quality standards and regulations Quality certificates and declarations of conformity As a leader in technology and innovation, Zumtobel accepts full responsibility for all lighting components. Above-average levels of safety and faultless functionality are the basic quality characteristics provided. All testing takes place in laboratories equipped with the very latest facilities: besides technical lighting quality characteristics, products are tested to ascertain their mechanical, electrical and thermal characteristics. Accurate measurement of photometric performance and precise testing of electromagnetic compatibility are both a matter of course. Standard testing also includes inspections in accordance with DIN, EN and BS and, as well as checks for CE certification and numerous other tests during development. The declarations of conformity and ENEC test certificates for ONLITE products can be viewed at: www.zumtobel.com/onlite UK Note The Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 makes employers wholly responsible for ensuring that the emergency lighting is suitable, sufficient, properly tested, thoroughly documented and fully maintained. From April 2006 Fire Certificates are cancelled and replaced by employer risk assessment. Not carrying out such assessments could leave Company Directors open to prosecution and with invalidated insurance cover. The automated emergency lighting test systems in this brochure are cost effective and practical solutions to these issues and are designed to ensure that the employer will be able to rely on their emergency lighting if the worst should happen.
