Tubis.Worldwide welcome.

Airports and railway stations have become the most impor-tant hubs of a modern society due to global networkingand the rapid development of transport and logistics systems. This applies not only to transfer of goods but even more importantly to passenger traffic.Apart from the function of transferring streams of peopleefficiently, these hubs are increasingly becoming meetingplaces, particularly for business travellers, and thus act as aform of personal identity for the host. What determines the initial and final impression of a journey more strongly? As longer waiting periods cannot be completely avoided inspite of logistic perfection and retail therapy, the quality of interior design and lounge furniture influences the calmness and mood of travellers here more anything. The development of Tubis seating elements thereforefocused on three criteria: •Understated and high-quality design that adapts tovarious architectural and interior concepts in terms of construction and features to achieve a coherent overallappearance of space and furnishings. •High ergonomic seated comfort for various sitting posi-tions, which provides relaxation and relief of pressure for longer waiting periods too.•Scope for simple assembly, disassembly and exchangecombined with easy cleaning and care to ensure maxi- mum flexibility and adaptability, as well as to preserve the value of the furniture at low maintenance and follow-up cost. The wiege designers solved this complex task with ingeni-ous simplicity. They developed a modular frame structure that allows virtually unlimited configurations. The core of the system comprises two supporting aluminium profiles(“tubes”) with integral mounting grooves for fixing allfunctional elements such as seat shells, armrests, side tables furniture or sliding footrests. Possible configurations include free- standing benches furniture with four legs and up to five individual seats, as well as concourse seating, linear-linked, back-to-back or as corner solutions.

The architectural frame structurecombines with the slender contours of the ergonomically shaped seat shells to create a convincing overall design, merging technically appealing aesthetics, comfort andfunctionality.
