Function

Swivel chairs with automatic synchro-adjustment: the seat/backrest angle adjusts automatically to the sitting position of the user. When leaning back, the backrest tension increases according to the need for additional support. A crank handle allows infinitely variable tension adjustment for the user. Backrest position lockable in four different positions by engaging lever. Encapsulated gas lift, conforming to DIN 4550, for infinitely variable adjustment of seat height of swivel chairs. Adjustment of backrest height in seven positions within a range of 60 mm; models with mesh membrane backrest have a lumbar support adjustable within a range of 60 mm instead of the height-adjustable backrest. All models feature adjustment of seat depth in eleven positions between 385-435 mm. Models with a mesh membrane backrest as for swivel chair versions. Cantilever chairs: to match swivel chairs, stackable up to 5-high, for visitors, meetings, conferences and seminars; with resilient, single-section seat shell, integral stacking buffer and outer rail /grip on the backrest.

Standards

Neos swivel chairs conform to the Office chair Standards DIN EN 1335, ANSI/BIFMA X 5.1 and other international office chair standards. Available on request: version conforming to NPR 1813. Depending on selected features, they meet the requirements of categories A or B of the Office Chair Standard DIN EN 1335. Neos swivel chairs conform to the requirements of "Ergonomics Approved".

All materials and components are fit-for-purpose and coded in accordance with DIN EN ISO 11490 (code in accordance with DIN EN ISO 1043-1) to allow material-streamed recycling in the case of repair or replacement.

Frame

Swivel chairs

Five-star base in glass fibre-reinforced polyamide, through-dyed in black-grey, or in die-cast aluminium, polished, high-lustre polished or bright chromium-plated. Twin wheel swivel castors with load-dependent braking, conforming to DIN EN 12529, as the standard version for carpeted floors, or with a grey polyurethane soft lining for hard floors (please specify when ordering). Anti-static castors on request (in combination with aluminium frame). Synchro-mechanism case in die-cast aluminium. Synchro-mechanism cover in black grey through-dyed polypropylene. Seat bearer in glass fibre-reinforced polyamide, through-dyed in black-grey.

Cantilever chairs

Frame in round steel tube, diameter 22 mm, thickness 3 mm, bright chromium-plated, with anti-tilt stoppers in black-grey polyamide as the standard version for carpeted floors, optionally with glides in black-grey polyamide (for soft floors) or black-grey polyurethane (for hard floors), optionally with additional felt insert (please specify when ordering). Outer rail/grip in die-cast zinc, bright chromium-plated.

Neos visitor chairs conform to the standards of DIN EN 13761 and DIN EN 1728.

Seat and back Swivel chairs

Seat shell in black-grey through-dyed polypropylene. Upholstery: covered, one-piece moulded polyurethane foam with integral pelvic support, exchangeable. Depth of seat platform individually adjustable from 385 -435 mm. The seat shifts in such a way that ensures that the angle of the pelvic wedge automatically adjusts to the position of the seat shell. Backrest in polyamide with back shell cover in polypropylene, through-dyed in black-grey. Upholstery: covered, one-piece moulded foam, exchangeable. Models 181 /3 and 181 /6 with backrest frame in glass fibre-reinforced polyamide, black-grey through-dyed, covered with semi-transparent, black-grey high performance polyester; lower section of backrest frame covering in polypropylene, black-grey through-dyed; optional lumbar support in polyamide, black-grey through-dyed with integral foam overlay.

Cantilever chairs

Single-section seat and back shell in resilient polypropylene, black-grey through-dyed. Seat cushion: exchangeable, with invisible screw fittings; comprising pressboard and covered, one-piece moulded polyurethane foam. Optional, exchangeable back cushion with same features as the seat cushion. Model 183 /5 with seat and back cushions; seat with wool-fleece overlay; seat and backrest with side facings; leather cover is standard. On request, with backrest covered in leather on both sides.

Armrests Swivel chairs

3-D armrests in black-grey, glass fibre-reinforced polyamide with polyurethane pad, adjustable by 100 mm in height and 50 mm in depth, and pivotable inwards and outwards by 15°.

Cantilever chairs

Armrests comprise round sleeves in a tactile, PVC-free elastomer material. Model 183 /5 with cushioned armrest pads, leather-covered with triple-sewn seam.
