visitors to Wilkhahn, for schoolchildren
and students to lectures at congresses
and symposia, or lectures at universities
and other socially relevant institutions
and groups. The EXPO 2000 exhibition
“The future of work in the field between
humankind, nature, technology and themarket - Wilkhahn’s experience”, with
more than 7,000 visitors, marked thehighlight of public interest in the inte-gration of economic, ecological andsocial responsibility into corporate pro-cesses. In addition, Wilkhahn also made
a contribution to the worldwide EXPO
“Resource Management Project” in
Wolfsburg, Germany, and designed the
special section of “Sustainability” for the
exhibition “The Century of Design”which was shown in Karlsruhe, Hanoverand Hamm. A sustainability report was
published for the first time, entitled
“Wilkhahn Added Values”. The most recent plant extension included the first photo-voltaicsystem whereby amorphous silica was deposited directly onto the
glass roof using thin-layer technology.
