| | | Versteel tables available with the Henri and PowerLink systems have been subjected to all required Underwriter's Laboratory (UL) testing to insure the safety of our customers. As a requirement to receive UL Listing, Versteel tables were burned to determine the smoke generation standards. All Versteel tables have a UL Smoke Index label applied to the underside of the table, whether it is a laminate with PVC edge or an all wood top, indicating that smoke index testing has been completed. Testing for stability is required to insure the table will withstand a side impact without tipping over. All applicable Versteel tables are tested with the weighted swing impact bag to meet and exceed these standards. Henri and PowerLink systems have been listed under UL 962 Commercial Furnishings standards for electrical systems within furniture and not just the electrical system. This is an important detail when working with the local building inspectors. | | |
| | | "The Versteel Henri and PowerLink single circuit systems feature a 'first mate - last break' ground connection design throughout the system. When connecting or disconnecting the systems, the ground pin (green terminal) will make contact first and when disconnecting will break contact last. This feature is for the safety of the user and supports the UL and NEC (National Electric Code) requirements. Some imitation electrical systems may not include this very important feature."
