On course for success

The story of Val-Eur Outdoor Interiors starts eighteen years ago when Harrie van Valderen decided that the way forward was to develop a Val-Eur line of outdoor furniture. A line that would offer customers modern and stylish furniture for outdoor living. Technology had advanced to such an extent that various new materials were available for outdoor use. Materials that offered greater comfort and durability. Realising their potential, Harrie van Valderen gathered together a small inspired team and put his design ideas into production. The first Val-Eur collection of outdoor furniture was marketed in the early 1990s to great acclaim. It generated sales that exceeded all expectations. The Bayview collection’s ground-breaking combination of aluminium and weatherproof polyester mesh fabric was the first of its kind in Europe. With it Val-Eur tapped into a neglected niche in the market for stylish, high-quality outdoor furniture. The next pioneering venture was the introduction in the Benelux countries of weatherproof woven vinyl chairs. These were more durable than the fragile cane and rattan chairs available on the market until then. Another Benelux first was achieved soon after when the Capers collection arrived on the scene. This Val-Eur original, set teak wood in a cast aluminium frame creating chairs and benches of a unique appearance. Val-Eur also managed to set a new standard for style in the all-teak market with the beautiful elegance of the Manhattan collection. As a result, the Val-Eur collection soon gained a reputation for excellence and innovation. DEL MAR ALL WEATHER, 1993 >> CAPERS ARMCHAIR, 1996 >> PRADO ARMCHAIR, 2003 >>
