INSTALLATION MOUNTING KIT The metal strips are used to retain the terracotta in the event of accidental breakage (falling object or person, vandalism,…).The mounting plates are fitted with notches tofacilitate the orientation of the terracotta tiles dur- ing installation. 4 orientations are available: 0°, 30°, 45°, 60°. The plates are also predrilled. These holes can be used for the mounting screws. (See diagram 1 – mounting kit)
SHAMAL® 14SHAMAL® 20 The Shamal® system consists of a mounting kit andsupport uprights (patented system). The Shamal kit contains: > an oval block of terracotta with 4 smooth sides. 2dimensions are available (20 and 14 cm wide), in a range of 6 colours (red-orange, champagne, pink, chocolate brown, ebony, pearl grey) and the skin can be smooth or sanded> a metal framework to provide cohesion, a retentionfunction in the event of accidental breakage and used to fasten it to a weight-bearing structure. This framework includes mounting plates, metal strips, neoprene interfaces, expansion joints and tighten- ing nuts.The kit is premounted in the factory.This kit can be used with different angles of design tile but remains fixed after mounting (fastened to the pro- filed uprights using at least one stainless steel self- tapping screw on each mounting plate).
