Maestral®
, a cold, dry and gusty windfrom the northwest in the Rhone valley, which is
caused by high pressure in the north Atlantic and
northern Europe together with low pressure over
the Mediterranean and the Gulf of Genoa. It can blow for up to nine days. It chases the
clouds away, and leaves the air cool and clean. Its name comes from the Latin magistralis:
