FACING TILE
INSTALLATION
The installation of the Facing tile system mustconform to the schedule of conditions by Terreal.The tiles supplier are installed in horizontal rows withstaggered or aligned joints.
The upper hanging lip is designed to suspend the
products on the metallic 2/4 rails separated by 25
cm (average theoretical gauge) and fixed to the
load-bearing wall or to a framework in the case
of an indirect fixing. The lower lip fits on to the
sloped edge of the top of the lower tile. The
vertical aligned or staggered joints are left with
one free joint of at least 5 mm (to allow
structural movement, possible replacement and to
improve ventilation).
The time required for installation in the main
body of the work is evaluated at 40 min/m

DIRECT INSTALLATION
This wall-cladding can be applied either on atraditional wall or on a frame. Installation of
wooden and metallic frameworks must be done in
accordance with C.S.T.B worksheets n°. 3316
dated February 2001and the modification no.
3422 (wooden frame) and n°. 3194 dated
February 2000 (metallic frame).The interaxial distance for fixings of the 2/4 rail is60 cm maximum (this interaxial distance must be
confirmed by a pull test conducted on site
according to the regulations given on the CSTB
worksheet n°. 1661). In the case of integrated insulation in walls type
XIII, an air space of at least 2 mm must be
included between the non-absorbent insulation
and the 2/4 rail.
The choice of fixings must take into account the
results of the pull test carried out on the
construction site according to CSTB worksheet n°.
