SUNSCREEN SOLAR CALCULATIONS

For further information, please contact technical support on +33 5 34 36 21 09. For rigorous calculation of the solar factor, apart from direct trans-mission of sunlight, account must be taken of: > reflection towards the interior> re-emission (and hence absorption)> the influence of diffuse radiation (not direct) > the solar and thermal properties of the glazing situatedbehind the sunscreens> masking effects due to the other components of the win-dow area > masking effects due to distant features (other buildings, trees, etc.)> the exposure of the window furniture area (north, south-west, etc.) This highly specific calculation can be performed by a spe- cialist engineering office. This brochure gives direct transmis-sions with the sun at 0°and 45°.
