INSTALLATION

44100

Following a previously traced grid pattern, the builder marks out the secondary vertical frame to which the right and left clips will be attached. (see diagrams 3 and 4). The method of construction of the metal framing must conform to the standard described in the CSTB worksheet n°. 3194 dated February 2000. The T -shaped metallic rail (constituting the secondary frame) receives on each wing, right and left, the left and right fasteners supporting the shingles. The abutment of the central post of the T -shaped rail projects beyond the Acoustic Shingle facing . The effect is to create a spray which avoids stagnation of the runoff water. As a variation, installation on wooden frames equipped with joint-cover spine is possible if it is in conformity with CSTB worksheet n°. 3316 dated February 2001 and the modification No.3422. The choice of the fixing method must be made in accordance with the regulations presented in CSTB worksheet n°. 1661 dated July/August 1980. It is important to leave a vertical joint of approximately 1 to 1,5 cm between the central post of the mounting structure and the shingle, in order to ensure the easy maintenance of the system (replacement of the Acoustic shingle).Suitable aluminium support systems are:? on metal frame: clip fixing by self tappingstainless steel screw 5,5 x 19? on wooden frame: rafter spine 8 x 8 cm fixedback to frame using stainless steel screw 5 x 50
