TenCate Tecashield® - BX 9260 is an inherently heat- and flame-resistant
fabric with an aramid blend that has been developed and produced by
TenCate using a new technology. This fabric is extremely durable and
stable due to the use of meta-aramid and para-aramid fibres.
Outstanding value – Suitable for application in protective clothing used in,
for example utilities, chemical, energy, construction and military sectors,
and fire fighters turnout gear.
Multi-risk protection – Protects against heat and flame, electric arc, static
electricity and liquid chemicals (optional).
Premium thermal protection – Protects against convective and radiant heat.
Tested according to EN ISO 11612 A1, B1,C1: 2008 (Industrial flame & heat
hazards).
Anti-static for explosion risk protection – TenCate Static-ControlTM is a
core conductive filament yarn (complies with EN 1149-5: 2008, testmethod
EN 1149-3: 2004).
Optional: Limited chemical protection – Protects against splashes, thanks to
Hydro-Tec, an innovative nanotechnology finish (complies with EN 13034: 2005).
Highly durable – FR properties are built-in with excellent price/quality
performance.
Long-lasting looks – Available in a wide-range of colours. The fabric has
been thoroughly tested for its protective properties and has also been
submitted to an extensive range of washing and durability tests at
independent testing institutes.
