In Italy legislation on permissible noise levels states that in this field the framework law no.447 dated 26 October 1995 applies. The law lays down that the impact noise perceived one floor away must not exceed a certain level. It is therefore clear how important the observance of such requisite is, both to avoid economic damage and to guarantee maximum comfort to the future occupants. For example, in the case of offices, with a floor 20 + 4 cm high in a clay /cement mix (300 kg/m2) a foreseen noise level of 77 dB is established: our system permits a reduction of 33-35 dB, to achieve a transmitted value of approximately 42-44 dB.
