Many bedbound patients are well enough to be treated ina nursing home, or even at home provided the bed supplier is vertically adjustable.The Customer needed a luminaire that would be both safeand flexible. The solution is a gooseneck building lamp with a special mount that is attached to a corner socket on thehead of the bed.The flexible arm allows the light to follow eachmovement of the bed, combining illumination withflexibility and safety. A heart-lung machine demands both intense light and anextremely flexible arm that can be positioned at anyangle, to monitor the pump, blood and instrumentsproperly. In addition, the heat output must be kept at a minimum sothat the plastic hoses do not melt.The solution is a design spotlight attached to the heart-lung machine.
