It pays to have the right light.
Contents
The light in the office has diverse tasks to fulfil. Apart from aesthetics and design in line with room layouts, office concepts and furniture configurations, it is above all the technical and ergonomic factors which require to be considered when choosing the correct light. The central focus is on people. Empirical studies into the causal connections between working conditions and individual performance underline the major importance of light.

What is required is not an abundance of light, but the right kind of light. It should be noted that, far from being an ergonomic luxury, the right light at the workplace actually offers solid economic benefits. In the medium to long term, incorrect and inadequate lighting always leads to higher error rates, down times and absenteeism due to illness.
Today, however, correct office lighting is not defined solely by the light on the desktop or the computer architectural screen. Modern lighting solutions for offices are integrated, holistic concepts which combine aesthetic design with functional quality features. An additional task is to save electricity costs.
