Digital Elevation Model (DEM)
Topko D is the solution to all situations concerning the management, the visualization, the analysis and, in general, the use of DEM. It is possible to import different OEMs inside the project and use them to create maps, calculate profiles and sections, extract mathematical models.

Raster maps can be obtained in 256 colors, 65536 colors or in 16 million colors; map resolution can be personalized. Previous maps can be elaborated also with the visualization of contour lines. It is possible to visualize even only a part of a DEM.
The scales of colors to be used to represent the different elevations can be completely personalized. It is possible to visualize also the grid of points.
Sections and profiles
Even on DEMs with millions of points the calculation of profiles and sections is performed immediately.
DEM and DTM
From DEM, it is possible to extract topographic points and the mathematical
DEMs are a tridimensional representation of land surface reporting land elevations, of a particular zone, listed in a regular grid. DEMs usually cover zones of medium-big extension with the possibility to contain even millions of points. Because of their size, DEMs are represented through raster images; inside them, according different modes, each pixel represents the corresponding elevation.
Visualization
Every DEM can be represented as a raster image through one of the following modes:
t altimetric map;
► map of exposures;
y altimetric/exposures map;
model; it is possible to elaborate only a part of DEM.
In this way, it is possible to use data of DEM with commands of Topko M in order to calculate volumes, for example.
From triangle mathematical model it is possible to create a DEM by defining the grid step; the mathematical model can be used also to update elevations of another DEM present in the same zone.
Import/export
It is possible to import/export DEMs from the most widespread formats as Arc grid and Ascii xyz.
The tool allows to create a DEM starting from an ASCII file containing an irregular group of points obtained, for example, from LaserScanner systems.
