C.P.S. and geographic data
Supplementary module of Topko T, completing it with management and calculation of G.P.S data. From geodetic coordinates the tool calculates the corresponding plane coordinates using the parameters of the coordinate system set; it is possible to calculate the local connection parameters (datum) between the system ellipsoid and WGS84 ellipsoid.
use the WGS84 points calculated as points of known coordinates of support. Moreover, Topko C allows to go in the opposite direction, that is to calculate, for survey coordinates, the corresponding geodetic coordinates WCS84 from the reference plane system.
Datum
Of great importance is the possibility of calculating a local datum according to some points of which both the GPS coordinates and the corresponding plane coordinates on the reference system adopted are known; the local datum has the advantage of being, inside the area defined by the reference points, much more precise than the global datum, whose parameters have been calculated for a much wider area.
It is possible to integrate the datum database with points from IGM95 network, supplied by the Italian Military Geographic Institute.
Topko C extends Topko T functions by making it possible to use, besides the normal tachymetric measures, also geographic and WCS84 coordinates in a survey.
Reference system and data insertion
Topko C allows to define the system of reference plane coordinates, as, for example a Causs-Kruger system or a local system based on a plane projection, tangent to the ellipsoid in the coordinate point defined by the user. The latitude/longitude coordinates of WCS84 points can be inserted and modified inside a specific table or be imported from ASCII file.
Calculation
During survey calculation the tool first turns WGS84 coordinates into the plane system chosen as a reference, then continues by calculating the tachymetric survey; tachymetric measures can therefore
Elevations
It is possible to correct the points elevation by using a model of the geoid that can be either predefined or freely definable by the user.
Topko G and cadastre
Topko G allows to extend Topko T and its cadastral functions and this allows, in turn, to generate Pregeo handbooks, including GPS measures.
Utilities
Topko G allows also to know, for each point indicated on screen, the corresponding WGS84 coordinates and to measure the geodetic distance between two points.
