Railway design and grinding
This module extends the basic module by allowing a complete design, planimetry, profiles and sections, of single track/double track railway lines. There are also specific elaborations allowing to test and grinding the existing railway settings according to the survey performed.
By Y module, ProSt software provides for the complete design of single track/double track railway lines and offers specific functions for survey, check and maintenance of existing railway lines.
Design
Planning a railway axis from a horizontal and vertical point of view is performed by the methods already set in the design basic module. Once the axis has been defined, it is possible to set the project data, such as the speed, which can also be set by station. Superelevation and widening calculation is performed automatically, according to the curve radius and the speed set; the user can always intervene on all the values calculated: superelevation, widening, stations.
Geometry annotation provides some specific dimensioning, typical of railway planning.
It is possible to create and use railway typical sections, complete with all elements: sleepers, ballast, cable troughs, catenary masts, railcars, fences, etc. By other utilities it is possible to generate automatically some rail polylines, the elevation of which is determined automatically according to the vertical design and the superelevation calculated.
and the tool displays automatically the stations exceeding the limits set.
► Export data on specific formats to be used by machines for correcting the track position.
Check and correction reports
Different types of reports have been arranged:
► Curve staking: for fixed points or fixed-step intermediate points, the following data are reported: station and partial on axis, partial on the chord between fixed points, distance and height difference from the rail, height difference between fixed point and low rail, camber, cant, gauge; the axis horizontal and vertical data and the speeds at different stations are reported as well.
► Deviation survey-project: calculates the deviations of the new alignment from the survey data of the existing
I alignment; for each survey point the following data are reported: station, planimetric position of the survey point and of the corresponding point on project axis, height difference and distance of project from the existing situation.
► Distance fixed points-rails:
calculates, for each point of the survey subproject, the station on axis and the distance of the point from the two polylines representing the rails.
► Input railway line survey data: the
survey data of the existing axis can derive from the traditional tachymetric survey or from automatic track survey systems, such as automatic track (requires Topko T or M).
► Extract the profile of the existing axis with stations referring to project axis.
► Horizontal and vertical comparison
between survey data and project axis with direct test of horizontal and vertical deviation.
► Check distances between rails:
verifies the distance between the Internal rails along the axis; it is possible to set the value of minimum/maximum distance
Check and grinding
In order to check and correct existing railway lines a set of commands have beeen created to:
