| | | Graphic display, on the required scale, of profile complete with project elements. Profile dimensioning is fully automatized and personalizable. To allow the management of information not included in the program a procedure for input of supplementary data (street names, nature of land, pipeline type, etc.) has been arranged. If requested, profile can be completed with automatic dimensioning of elements; moreover differences of elevation, hectometric distances, superelevation, widening, horizontal alignment scheme (horizontal straights and curves), planimetric deviation can be drawn. Besides terrain and project it is possible to insert other lines (walls, ditches, S.O.P., pipelines, etc.). Hydraulic profile Specific functions allow to manage easily hydraulic profiles of aqueducts and sewer systems. Data such as pipe diameter and position of sump pits are required. It is possible to make diversified requests according to profile type. Symbol libraries for hydraulic profiles are supplied. Policy check ProSt allows to verify the congruence of the project parameters of the axis elements with the policy selected. The tool provides a detailed report verifying, for each element (horizontal straights, curves, clothoids, parabolas), the congruence of the parameters (lengths, radii, A parameters) with the current policy and suggests the minimum and maximum values to be adopted. The same kind of check is performed also on altimetric elements (grade lines and vertical curves). In order to obtain the speeds along the alignment the tool calculates the corresponding speed diagram; the diagram can be printed or inserted in a drawing sheet. | | |
| | | Cross sections Input of terrain points is performed both manually and automatically, using digital model. The points which make up the project are input both manually and automatically, calling up atypical section, (defined previously and input in a typical section library). The positioning of a typical section can be performed in a fully automatic way (on the whole project or on part of it), semiautomatic (on just one section) and manual (taking elements one by one). It is possible to set the values of the typical section parameters for the initial and final typical section, leaving to the tool the task of interpolating the values of the | | |
| | | intermediate sections; it would be possible, for example, to set the width of the roadway at the beginning and at the end of the alignment and let the tool take care of calculating and inserting the intermediate sections by interpolating the width between the initial and the final value. ProSt allows to create tables where it is possible to set some of the project main parameters according to the station; it is possible, for example, to define the name of the typical section to be used in the different segments of the road, or the roadway width; in this way, on inserting the typical section, the tool will automatically know what to do. Section module allows cross section management also from an accounting point of view. Section CAD allows to work on sections, obtaining immediately the calculations regarding cut and fill situations. No limit to the number of points for each element (terrain, project, etc.) and to calculated areas. It is therefore possible to obtain section drawing and enclosed accountancy regarding calculation of areas. Section module can be integrated with "Accounting Sections" module, to manage complicated works, where it is necessary to redefine the rules for the calculation of areas and volumes. | | |
| | | Typical sections Typical sections are defined inside a specific environment, where the typical section is built by assembling parametric base objects, supplied with the tool or defined by the user himself. Any object can be linked to the points of another object or connected to a planimetry or profile polyline: this means that it is possible to set in planimetry or in profile the position and the size of the objects. | | |
