| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Road, railway and hydraulic design Basic module that allows to study alignments on screen, together with topographic survey. The tool also includes a sophisticated management of longitudinal profiles, cross sections and volume calculations. Includes a module for hydraulic profiles. | | | | | | | | | | The drawing is therefore complete and personalizaba. Project planimetry The drawing of a project planimetry can be obtained automatically from cross sections and include any element found in them (roadway, shoulders, gutters, ditches, walls, sidewalks, sideslopes, etc.). Any element can be represented with a hatching or with a full colour; it is possible to distinguish the colour of cut slopes from that of fill slopes. It is also possible to obtain the 3D model of the project, which can be automatically joined to the terrain model, enabling you to see the project inserted in the existing situation for further elaboration (volume calculation, study of environmental impact, etc.); the final model can be exported into Vista where it is possible to "run" virtually along a defined axis. Longitudinal profile Longitudinal profile management requires input of (progressive or partial) distances and of elevations both of terrain and of project. The definition of project elevations is performed manually, or through the | | definition of grade lines and of vertical curves. The altimetric project can be modified interactively by moving gradient vertexes or by "stretching" vertical curves; the vertexes shift can be completely free, depend on the slope of the first or second gradient, or even be constrained either in elevation or to the station. Inside the same profile it is possible to define up to ten groups of gradients and curves and this allows for example to design, besides the road, also other elements such as hydraulic works, walls, etc. Terrain and project elevations can be obtained automatically through interpolation from digital model or from survey points that can be found inside a definite band. Profile can be calculated also from cross sections. Integration of profile inside CAD allows a complete editing of data and the opportunity to integrate the drawing with symbols, writings, tables. | | | | | | Horizontal alignments This module allows to design roads, and to work with horizontal alignments. It is possible to define, through simple CAD commands, road and railway alignments, canalizations, pipelines. As far as alignment definition, the operator is given a complete freedom to make changes, using all CAD functions. Managed alignment elements are: horizontal straights, horizontal curves, simple and multiparameter clothoids (horizontal straight-circle, egg-shaped and reversing), parabolas. The alignment can be modified interactively from the graphic management either by moving the alignment vertexes or by "stretching" the circular curves between the horizontal alignments. The drawing of the alignment can be completed by drawing road edges, lane edges and much more: in particular, there are some specific commands for drawing roadway widening and narrowing as well as for drawing halt areas. Edge polylines can be used in drawing sections in order to obtain automatically, for example, the roadway size or the position of such peculiar elements as ditches, pipelines and so on. ProSt allows to impose or calculate automatically according to norms, widenings, superelevations, lengths or parameters of transition connections, which can also be asymmetric. Multiaxes-management allows to manage very complicated projects, like the management of road-intersections. If ProSt is integrated with topographic module Topko, alignment study can be performed through survey display (points, triangles, contour lines, etc.). Input of planimetric data and subsequent elaborations, such as input of cross sections, geometry annotation of alignments and project planimetry are performed inside CAD. Input and positioning of cross sections can be carried out also in planimetry, both through stations and through planimetric coordinates. Geometry annotation To obtain geometry annotation of alignment it is sufficient to input alignment-definition data. The tool can provide the drawing of alignment together with dimensioning and section positions. | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Q Road, railway and hydraulic design | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | |
