SCIA«STEEL-CIM: overall efficiency for CNC-machines
SCIA'STEEL-nc
Within SCIA«STEEL-cim, CNC-machines are steered from SCIA«STEEL-data. This part is used in particular in the work preparation of the plate and profile machines. The following functionalities are available:
Reading in CAD-data such as DSTV-nc and DXF Drawing profiles and plates via macros Creating own macros via macro language for plates Editing plates with AutoCAD LT and AutoCAD Editing and adding operations Automatic transfer of plates to strips and vice versa Automatic and manual nesting of profiles and plates Generating drawings for plates and profiles Making drawings for nested plates and profiles
Making NC-postprocessors for all CNC-profile and CNC-plate machines Calculating all necessary production times Making a capacity planning per CNC-machine (JIT or ASAP) Reporting that processed parts in the CNC-machine are finished Reading in actual production times out of the CNC-machine Stock management Reports via Crystal Report ®
SCIA'STEEL-dstv
In SCIA«STEEL-dstv all DSTV-data are managed and graphically visualised. DSTV is the format of the 'Deutsche Stahlbau Verband'.
When reading in DSTV-nc, all geometry data of a profile or plate are read in. Consequently, various actions can be started with these data:
Visualisation for verifying the correctness
Editing in order to apply modifications or additions
Print out production drawings
Export data to DXF-format
SCIA«STEEL-dstv is also a preprocessor for creating DSTV-nc-data. The entire package of macros for profiles and plates is avaible to define the geometry. As soon as the geometry has been defined, a DSTV-nc-file will be generated and sent to the latest CNC machines.
