Dank modernster Brenntechnik und ausgefeilter Mischverfahren lassen sich Glasuren in fast jeder Farbnuance und Oberflächenstruktur auf die Terracotta-Elemente aufbringen, so dass ein schier unbegrenzter Einsatz möglich ist. Mit ihren TERRART®-Glasuren hat die Firma NBK Maßstäbe gesetzt. Die zweifach gebrannten, garantiert korrosions- und frostbeständigen Steine sind in jeder RALFarbabstufung erhältlich. Darüber hinaus können auch Einzelserien und Einzelelemente nach den Vorgaben des Kunden hergestellt werden, die dem Gebäude einen sehr ausgefallenen Charakter verleihen. Ein sensibles Einsatzgebiet ist etwa der Sanierungsbereich, wo Farben absolut exakt rekonstruiert werden müssen - dank der unerschöpflichen Farbvielfalt bei NBK kein Problem. Ein besonders gelungenes Beispiel einer Glasur-Fassade stellt die KPMG, die alte Messe in München dar, der ein regelrechtes Farbkonzept zugrunde liegt: Aus unterschiedlichen Perspektiven betrachtet, wartet das Gebäude mit jeweils anderen Farbeindrücken auf; aus einiger Entfernung wiederum entsteht eine komplett neue Wirkung durch dieoptische Vermischung der verschiedenen Farbtöne. Neben der vollständigen Flächenverkleidung bietet sich auch die besondere Akzentuierung und Hervorhebung von Teilbereichen durch glasierte Elemente an, um architektonische „Glanzlichter" zu erzielen. In jedem Fall erreicht man ein faszinierendes Spiel mit Lichteffekten, die der Außenfläche eine ganz eigene Leuchtkraft verleihen. Selbst an trüben Tagen behält die Glasur eine stimmungsvolle Ausstrahlung, bei der gerade Feuchtigkeit und Regentropfen glitzernde Effekte zaubern. Grâce aux techniques de cuisson les plus modernes et à des mélanges élaborés, il est possible d'appliquer pratiquement toutes les nuances de couleur et textures de surface sur les éléments en terre cuite, offrant ainsiunchamp d'applications quasi illimité. Avec les émaux TERRART®, la société NBK a posé de nouveaux jalons. Les pierres, soumises à deux cuissons, sont résistantes à la corrosion et au gel et sont disponibles dans toute la gamme de couleurs RAL. Il est en outre possible de fabriquer des séries et des éléments personnalisés selon les spécifications des clients, afin de conférer au bâtiment un caractère très insolite. Les zones de rénovation sont un champ d'applica-tionsensible, caries couleurs doivent être recréées exactement à l'identique — grâce à l'extrême diversité de couleurs offerte par NBK, cela n'est pas un problème. Le KPMG, l'ancienne foire de Munich, est un exemple particulièrement réussi de façade de céramique émaillée, qui s'appuie sur un véritable concept de couleurs : Selon la perspective, le bâtiment offre à chaquefois des effets de couleur différents ; il suffit de s'éloigner un peu pour obtenir à nouveau un tout autre effet par le mélange optique des différents tons. A côté du revêtement de surface complet, il est possible d'accentuer et de mettre en valeur tout particulièrement certaines zones au moyen d'éléments émaillés afin d'obtenir des points brillants architectoniques. Dans tous les cas, on obtient un jeu fascinant avec des effets de lumière qui confèrent à la surface extérieure des reflets propres. Même par temps gris, l'émail conserve un rayonnement qui, sous l'action de l'humidité et des gouttes de pluie, produit des effets scintillants. Les surfaces recouvertes de ce type de matériau sont quasiment inusables et leur éclat brillant est garanti sur le long terme. Les émaux actuels qui créent des effets particuliers sont également très prisés : grâce à des pigmentations et des pointillés, ils donnent aux surfaces lisses un aspect vivant et attrayant. Toutefois, la présence d'émail ne se traduit pas systématiquement par des effets d'une brillance extrême. Übrigens bedeutet Glasur nicht automatisch, dass ein hoch-glänzender Effekt entsteht.
