Floor diffuser Description, Area of Application and Benefits High-quality floor diffuser model BD was developed as a result of extensive testing. Individual diffusers are inserted flush with panel components in a false floor. Pressurization by way of supply air occurs via the pressure room or separate connecting tubes into a adjustable cups which serves as a dirt trap. An integrated throttle-slide in the pressurised area model allows variation of the volume flow. Triangularly staggered slot openings in a round corpus form a discharge grille which produces a strong vertical jet with a dispersion...

Floor diffuser Configuration, Method of operation and Aerodynamic Data Configuration BD is a circular-shaped diffuser made of plastic, glass-fibre reinforced polyamide or aluminium and is for installation in hollow or false floors. The floor construction has 3 x 10 triangularly staggered slot openings that form a turbulent vertical jet when supply air and room air are mixed. Standard colours for the plastic version are RAL 7005, RAL 7011, RAL 7032 or RAL 9005. Nominal diameters are 150 mm and 200 mm. Method of operation BD achieves localized mixed air ventilation with a mixed zone height of approximately...

BD 200 - Rating diagram The initial temperature difference between room air and supply air decreases in correspondence with the height above the floor outlet, as follows: Acoustic power level [dB(A)] = With increasing height the supply air jet will be spread more widely, with a rapid reduction of the air jet velocity. At a height .of 1,000 mm it will be down to approximately 0.25 m/s ( V0 = 180 m3/ h). with dirt trap and dampers (100 % open) with dirt trap and dampers (50 % open) · /h Airflow per outlet V0 Initial temperature difference ∆T0 = 2K Height above outlet [mm] · /h Airflow per outlet...
