Per il caricamento normale della legna il vetro della portina può essere alzato verso l'alto tramite 2 piccole maniglie laterali ed è a completa scomparsa. Quando è tutto alzato si ha la splendida sensazione di un focolare aperto. Quando è a metà corsa si vede comunque, in un effetto di trasparenza, solo il fuoco nella sua interezza.
