The light total internal reflection is conveyed ( T.I.R. inside the thinpolycarbonate screen making the most of the physi- cal principle ). The emergency circuit, which includes the batteries,is inserted inside the standard 503 housing . The factit is powered directly from the mains makes thedesigning phase so much easier . 503 is also designed to replace an existing plugrecessed in the wall with an emergency fixture cha-racterised by its elegant and sober design.
