Lumina, founded by Tommaso Cimini (Daphine, 1975), is today managed by the sons Ettore and Andrea, who carry on the family business using the most advanced technologies. In 1975 the skilled technician, Tommaso Cimini, was involved in electro-mechanical endeavors for prominent lighting companies in Northern Italy. Thanks to his creativity and background in mechanical engineering, he envisioned an easy-to-make, freely adjustable table lamp. Making the most of his manual skills and technical inventiveness, he developed the necessary models that led to the birth of Daphine.
