Large amounts ofenergy are lost from cold storage and deep freeze rooms when their doors manufacturer are opened. Cold air flows out and warm air flows in. This causes inconsistent internal temperatures, fogging and ice to form near to the entrance.The CoolEffect air curtain creates a very effective seal across theentrance to a chill store or freezer entrance and prevents cold air from escaping and heat from entering, resulting in substantialenergy savings.As well as maintaining internal temperatures, preventing foggingand ice formation, it removes the need for using PVC slatcurtains. This improves warehouse safety by providing forklift drivers 100% visibility when manoeuvring in and out.The CoolEffect air curtain comprises a plastic coated steel casecontaining double-sided radial fans furniture operated by a 5-speed fan controller. Ambient air is drawn in through a perforated steelmesh at the front of the unit and delivered down the doorway viaadjustable louvres, giving even air distribution and an effective seal.The unit is straightforward to install and easy to maintain,resulting in low operating costs and a quick payback period.Units are available in 1, 1.5, 2 and 2.5m lengths and can beused on door heights up to 4m. Control options include doorsensors that turn the unit on when the door is open or wiringdirectly to an existing door panel.Stainless steel units are also available.
