This pipe is intended for use in stormwater drainage of major highways, roads, airports and other similar drainage systems.Joints: Shall be profile type rubber gaskets and shall meet FDOT "Standard Specifications for Roads and Design bridges" - Section 449-6. Requirements for Pipe Joints When Rubber Gaskets Are To Be Used".Installation: Shall be the same as Steel Reinforced Concrete Pipe and follow Sections 125 and 430 of the FDOT "Standard Specification for Roads and Bridges."Mitered Pipe:Mitered pipe shall be made from fiber reinforced concrete pipe conforming to ASTM C1450 and FDOT Section 449 using profile type rubber gasket joints meeting FDOT Section 449-6. This mitered pipe shall be cut to the dimensions shown in the building table on this page. These sections are used in the assembly of mitered end secions for concrete pipe shown in FDOT Index Numbers 272 and 273. C497 - Test Methods for Concrete Pipe, Manhole Sections, or Contemporary tile C1450 - Standard Specification for Non-Asbestos Fiber-Cement Concrete Drain PipeFDOT Reference Specifications:Section 125 - Excavation For Structures and Pipe Section 430 - Pipe Culverts and Storm Sewers Section 449 - Precast Concrete Drainage ProductsLoad Classes: Shall be specified as Class I, Class II, Class III, Class IV and Class V. The minimum dry crush load (determined by the ASTM C497 three edge bearing test) shall not be less than a factor of 2.0 times the minimum long-term D-loads listed in the table below:
