These Are the Characteristic Features of Hörmann Dock Shelters:
Aesthetics and Effi ciency
Sound all-round protection
Hörmann dock shelters protect goods
against the elements, prevent drafts and
as a result reduce the number of working
days lost due to personnel reporting sick.
When combined with dock levellers, costly
canopies and built-on ports are no longer
necessary.
Hörmann fl ap dock shelters adapt to all
sizes of vehicles and are therefore suitable
for general use. High-grade head and side
fl aps, mounted on a galvanized, press-in
frame, produce a stable, fl exible and tearresistant
construction.
The fl aps and frame components are
produced as individual elements for ease
of installation. That’s why when it comes to
replacing them in years to come, it will be a
low-cost, straightforward procedure.
Link arm or scissor arm construction
Link arm or scissor arms connect the front
and rear frames. They offer great fl exibility,
thereby preventing collision damage. An
effective seal is always produced, even in
the case of poorly reversed vehicles.
The particularly stable scissor arm
construction is pressed in parallel and
makes the fl aps taut again after each
loading sequence.
The frame construction with scissor arm
also allows roadway or below-dock (sunken)
versions.
Head and side fl aps
The side fl aps must not only be fl exible
but also offer adequate transversal
strength. Depending on the model,
Hörmann achieves this by either using
corresponding special fl ap material
(monofi lament fi bres) or integrating leaf
springs into the fl aps. Easily visible marker
stripes assist the driver to dock accurately.
Top and side cladding
With high-frequency welded-in round rods
that simply slot into the locating profi les.
The top cladding (roof) includes drainage.
