Specification –Robust constructions for operation under rough conditions.–Corrosion resistant casingsmade from galvanised steel. –Very safe in operation throughblack heat, enclosed heating
elememts made from stainlesssteel.–Built-in overheat protection(except EHL).–Completely maintenance freefor continuous operation. –Total enclosed fan motors, protection to IP 54, with tropical protection of windings.–Contact safety to DIN EN 294 (except EHL).–Delivered ready to connect inshipment carton. Selection chart and technical information Operation Models KHL Pure air intake unit to warm up the fresh air for flush mounted wall installation. Example 1: Main heating Room volume: 600 m Running costs Specific operation of electric heaters can be cost effective. HELIOS fan heaters can be – controled by timer thermostats –
an advantageous solution. Calculation of heat requirements Models EHL The required heat power is dependent on following: 1.Desired room temperature or difference to outside temperature. 2.Room size in m Example 2: Additional heating Compact fan heater unit forvarious applications e.g. installation in ventilation ducts
and OEM machines. Existing heating is not enough in
winter. The top requirement should
be covered with an electric heater. Room volume: 600 m 3 > Desired temperature: +20 °C.
Lowest outside temp.:–15 °C.
Insulation: Good.
That results in a temperature
increase of 35 °C (see 1. column).Depending on the room volumeand the insulation the result is the
required heat power.
ln this case: 15 kW. In rooms of every kind e.g. in
workshops, stores, offices. Models STH and TH Transitional or additional heating Full heating For large rooms that are only used
periodical for longer intervals e.g. in assembly rooms, churches, exhibition halls and others. Site heating Preferably models STH and TH for
room heating as well as space drying. Frost protection heating To prevent freezing temperatures
in frost sensitive rooms e.g. stores, waterworks, pump and gate stations. Drying and condensationprevention 3 > .Desired temperature
Increase: 10 °C.
Insulation: poor(table values with*).In column 1 from value 10 °Cto go horizontal to the right untill the room size of 600 m of rooms of every kind in commercialand industrial applications. 3 > withpoor insulation is to be reached. The power to be installed amounts 5 kW. 3 > . 3.Quality of room or building insulation.
4.Use of the unit as full oradditional heating. The table below is based on experiences for room heating – not valid for ventilation. It shows
values for good and poor insulation. Approximately double the heat power is required for fast heating on occasional operation thus the warmup time is reduced. 33
