Fire damper ELS-DFor single and central ventilation systems K 90-DIN18017

Advantages ELS-D Approval No. Z-41.3-368Maintenance free Fire rating90 minutes K 90-DIN 18017 According to building regulationsventilation ducts that cross more than two storeys vertically must beprotected against fire and smoke. This conditions have been fulfilled so far through installing the ventilation duct in a fire proof shaft. With todays point of view this large-scaled method of theconstruction contains following disadvantages: Large need of space. High construction costs.Long building time.Problematic and complicate inrefurbishments. ELS-D can be turned axiallywhen installing (small or wide side to the front or diagonallystanding). Doweling and screwing overhead is avoided. ELS-D is completely maintenance free. Fire resistant elements thatmight need maintenance are unnecessary. General approved by DIBt with approval No. Z-41.3-368. Fire resistant class: K 90-DIN18017.The super slim fire protectionsystem ELS-D fulfills all building and fire protection regulationswith regards to ventilation systems according to DIN 18017 and guarantees a space saving and cost effectivesolution for all installation options. Specification Casing made from galvanisedsteel with integral spigot on topand bottom. The top spigot can be used as lead through. Allows non fire rated ducting inthe room that can be sacrified incase of fire. Two-stage procedure The fire damper ELS-D maintainsthe integnity of the fire rated floorslab right where the prevention is needed: At the ceiling! No further fire protection work isrequired to maintain the fire rating at the floor slab. Simple connection onto the damper spigots save time and money for duct installation. Cost effective installation, easyconnection to ducting, evenflexible ducting can be used. The shutter closes atapprox. Installation Simple and space saving notmuch larger than the ducting. 90C preventing thetransmission of high temperatures to other storeys. ELS-D is to be installed verticallyagainst the bottom of the floor slab or in installation registers. The fire damper is to be fixed with the two mountingfishplates, that are held by theself levelling concrete or the sealing. Thelead through is already integratedin the ELS-D. Connection to the ducting iseasy using the damper spigots. Smallest dimensions reduce therequired space and allows acompact bundle of services ina restricted space. At approx. 180C the built-in firerated foam expands to seal theduct completely and create thefire rated barrier. The full cross section of the ventilation duct remains, whichmeans no additional resistances.Cleaning is not hindered. Dimesions and model range
