Along with the functional and spatialaspects of the wire cloth, the com-pleted design tells its own story. Thewoven wire cloth forms an effective contrast connecting the past withthe present – the medieval masonryand the sheen of the modern ele- ments. The “Palas” and the telecommuni -cations tower within the ensembleare clad with Haver & Boecker Woven Wire Cloth. Due to theextensive range of design possibili-ties and materials, the woven wire cloth exceeded all expectations interms of optical qualities, longevityand cost. The analogy with the metal armour of the “Knights of Old” helps to stimulate the imagina- tion of the visitors.Haver & Boecker conducted on-sitemeasuring, manufacturing, fabrica- tion and installation of the wire clothelements.
