Nowadays our lives are dominated by technology; warm natural
products like natural wood floors form a relaxing contrast and
contribute to a feeling of wellbeing. Apart from its natural appearance
and pleasant touch, wood as a material performs the
unique function of improving the air in a room appreciably and
permanently.
Wood optimises the relationship
between temperature and air humidity,
without energy expenditure,
and therefore provides the best
indoor climate. The pre-condition
for this is, however, that its open
pore texture is retained. This is why
natural wood floors from Hain are not sealed with UV varnishes
or UV oils, contrary to industrially produced mass products, but
only with a special natural oil which is dried slowly in air. This oil
penetrates deep into the pores of the wood, without completely
blocking them. In this way the floor builds up a particularly
stable top surface which is easy to care for, without taking away
the air which this natural material needs to breathe. It retains
its ability to absorb surplus humidity from the air and to add
this back to interior air which is too dry. The result is a naturally
balanced indoor climate which helps to prevent allergies and
respiratory diseases, and is experienced by everyone as particularly
pleasant.

Refinement
The special characteristic of a Hain natural
wood floor is the unique and meticulous
surface treatment with natural Hain oil.
At the start of the emission-free and therefore environmentally
friendly process of surface treatment,
the quality-controlled planks
are polished and the dust removed,
to prepare the wood in the optimum
way for the special Hain surface
treatment. The wood is heated, so
that the resulting opening of pores
will make it particularly receptive to the Hain oil.
The natural oil – which does not contain varnish or any waxtype
additives – is evenly applied in a special process. It forms
very fine crystals below the surface of the wood, which retain
the natural surface of the wood and its breathing activity. The
abrasion-resistance of the wood surface increases at the same
time because of these crystals.
The process of crystal-formation and the hardening of the floor
associated with this lasts from several hours to days – because
we do not add any chemicals to the Hain oil. The natural oil and
the special Hain surface treatment ensure that direct contact
with the wood itself is preserved.
Very good anti-slip quality, resistance to water, a natural and
glossy surface whose beauty increases with age, as well as its
easy-care quality (using oil or soap) are attributes which only a
Hain oiled floor can offer you.
