VR SERIES VERTICAL RAILS
Vertical Rails for use with Horizontally Laid Cladding
Systems are fitted between Horizontal Side Rails as
detailed. The standard Vertical Rail is 145 Series
UltraBEAM. Connecting holes in horizontal rails are
punched at centre line position of vertical rail and due to
the unique method of attaching diagonal tie assemblies:-
No handing or length adjustment of the vertical rail is
necessary. When used with counter formed holes reduce
VR by 5mm.
Vertical Rails are normally supplied as factory
assembled items, but cleats and rails may be
ordered for ‘on-site’ assembly if required.

HORIZONTAL CLADDING
The details shown offer a simple method of
construction which incorporates UltraBEAM Horizontal
Rails and Vertical Rail Assemblies.
Horizontal Rail capacities should be taken from the
published load tables using the Wind Suction (-ve)
values for both Wind Pressure and Suction.
NB: To simplify detailing VRLC and VRSC
Cleats are suitable for use with UltraBEAM
Channel Rails only - not UltraZED.
