<< Cooling drawers instead of baskets Four stars for freezing In a freezer you will see a number of stars. Below you can see what they mean. Each star represents -6°C. For freezing of fresh food and storage of deeply frozen food (below -18°, can be as low as -32°). New freezing drawers have replaced the wire baskets to prevent cold air from escaping, thereby saving energy. Also to make cleaning much easier, frozen food can no longer drop from one box to the other. On built-in undercounter freezers the door manufacturers closes automatically if you should forget. If you leave the door open at an angle of less than 20 degrees, a special hinge will automatically shut the door tightly so that the temperature is maintained.
