PU 93 GLUE - 1

PRODUCT DATA SHEET – PU 93 GLUE I. CHEMICAL BASE / APPLICATIONS Single-component polyurethane adhesive which hardens with the humidity of the air. Polyurethane thixotropic glue with permanent flexibility. Formula adapted to gluing rubber tiles and other conglomerates onto various bases. Good adhesion to outdoor or indoor bases – concrete – bitumen-coated material – wood. For any glazed surface such as tiled floor, metal plate, aluminium, wood, make a resistance test before laying the rubber tiles and after sanding the surface II. PRODUCT PROPERTIES Appearance Colour Viscosity at 23 °C Thixotropic paste Beige sun Brookfield RVT / spindle 7 / 5 rpm : ca. 180,000 mPa.s Density at 20 °C 1.70 ± 0.05 Application temperature 15 to 35 °C Skin formation time at 23 °C and 50 % HR 40 to 80 min* Cure time at 23 °C and 50 % HR > 2.5 mm/24 h Final Shore A hardness (ISO 868 – 3 seconds) Ca. 67 Temperature resistance - 40 to + 60 °C Resistance to dilute acids and bases Average Specific data Open time at 23 °C and 50 % RH: 40 min* Shearing resistance (DIN 281) : ca. 11 daN/cm² Water resistance : excellent * This time is shorter at higher temperature and humidity. So it is necessary to be sure that open time is not excessive. Otherwise, defective bonding could happen. III. HARDENING The process starts at ambient temperature by a reaction with water vapour or with atmospheric humidity. A higher temperature and a high humidity rate shorten the setting time. The surface can generally be used 24 hours after laying. Total hardening time is between 3 and 5 days. During the hardening, the temperature should not fall below + 15°C and the relative humidity should not exceed 65%. During the laying, the glue foams evenly and seeps into the pores of the rubber conglomerate. IV. RECOMMENDATIONS FOR USE The surface must be clean and dry, and free from any oil or grease. The base must be insulated from rising humidity and be more than four weeks old. Base: > 10°C and <3% humidity (carbide moisture tester). Ambient: > 10°C and <65% humidity. Note: In addition, and for information, the water content must be less than 3.5% at a depth of 10mm when checked with a Krüger 518 S-type tester and less than 4% at 20mm when checked with a Tramextype tester. Ground and ambient air temperature should not fall below + 15°C. The glue should be applied with a finely notched scraper. Do not apply to a wet base as the glue could foam significantly, fail to stick and cause the tiles to lift. Avoid soiling the surface of the tiles. Models, drawings and names are registered.
