PU 32 GLUE - 1

PRODUCT DATA SHEET – PU 32 GLUE I. CHEMICAL BASE / APPLICATIONS Urethane prepolymer polymerizing with the humidity of the air. Diphenylmethane diisocyanate, isomers and equivalents 25-30% Single-component glue designed for sticking flexible materials such as: rubber fibres or granules (EPDM, SBR, BR, etc.), PU soft foams, expanded, extruded polystyrene. Gluing onto Concrete, Bitumen-coated material, Steel Plate, Aluminium For any glazed surface such as tiled floor, metal plate, aluminium, wood, make a resistance test before laying the rubber tiles and after sanding the surface II. PRODUCT PROPERTIES The polymerized film offers very good resistance to heat Solids content Viscosity at 20°C Brookfield RVT mobile n°3 / 10 t/min III. HARDENING The process starts at ambient temperature by a reaction with water vapour or with atmospheric humidity. A higher temperature and a high humidity rate shorten the setting time. The surface can generally be used 24 hours after laying. Total hardening time is between 3 and 5 days. During the hardening, the ground and air temperature should not fall below + 10°C. IV. RECOMMENDATIONS FOR USE The surface must be clean and dry, and free from any oil or grease. The base must be insulated from rising humidity and be more than four weeks old. Base: > 10°C and <4 to 5% humidity (carbide moisture tester). Ambient: > 10°C and <80% humidity. For information, the water content must be less than 3.5% at a depth of 10mm when checked with a Krüger 518 S-type tester and less than 4% at 20mm when checked with a Tramex-type tester. The glue must be applied onto the raised underside surface with the pourer (Cf. instruction sheet for laying) Do not apply to a wet base as the glue could foam significantly and fail to stick. Avoid soiling the surface of the tiles. The glue turns yellow as it dries. During the laying, the glue foams and seeps into the pores of the rubber conglomerate. Please note that if too much glue is applied, it will become visible as it dries. V. CONSUMPTION 400g for 1 sqm. Do not use too much glue. The quantities should be respected. Models, drawings and names are registered. No copy or reprography is permitted without prior written authorization. This manual was reviewed in June 2015 and may be updated; please make sure this is the latest version.
