WHERE DO GREENHOUSE GAS EMISSIONS COME FROM? Our Company,Our Style. > Greenhouse gas emissions result primarily from the combustion of fossil fuels such as coal, oil and gasoline. Greenhouse gas emissions from industry, transportation and agriculture are very likely to be the main cause of recently observed global warming. Major sources of an individual’s greenhouse gas emission include home heating and cooling, electricity consumption and transportation. Corresponding conservation measures include improving home building insulation, installing cellular shades and compact fluorescent lamps and choosing vehicles that offer a higher ratio of miles per gallon. 9 >
