Anchored natural grass The installation of a Desso GrassMaster field is as unique as the system itself. First, the natural grass is sown; then it is vertically injected with artificial turf using a computer-driven machine that advances in increments of 2 cm. The injected artificial turf fibres go 20 cm deep into the soil and stick up between 1.5 cm and 2 cm above the surface. As they grow the natural grass roots intertwine with the artificial turf.
