The Nurture Collection supports the vision shared by Designtex and Nurture: improving healthcare environments for patients, caregivers and partners in care. The Nurture Collection is comprised of six sustainable upholsteries and three cubicles. All of the patterns are inspired by nature,and the colorations are soothing,taking their cues from nature's harmonies. The materials also have a residential aesthetic, which adds greatly to the comfort level of patients and their family members.The cubicle curtains are designed to coordinate with three of the upholsteries, for a cohesive aesthetic from one room to the next. In addition, the upholsteries have sustainable qualities to contribute to a holistic healthcare setting. Four of the designs are Crypton Green and two are 100% Zeftron® Solution Dyed Nylon with NANO-TEX™ Resists Spills.The Zeftron styles are made from nylon 6,a recyclable solution-dyed nylon from Honeywell International Inc. Nylon 6, which is used widely in high-performance carpet and fabrics furniture, can now be depolymerized economically, something that has allowed nylon to become the first truly recyclable fiber. Crypton Green is a high performance textile that offers a responsible solution that exceeds industry standards for indoor air quality and optimized materials. Crypton Green is Scientific Certification Systems (SCS) Gold Indoor Advantage certified and claims Silver Cradle to Cradle™ Certification from MBDC LLC. Chemical and raw material improvements have reduced and/or eliminated the presence of formaldehyde, PFOAs and PBDEs. The chemical formulations have been optimized and the product has been thoroughly tested for emissions of VOC's (volatile organic compounds), including formaldehyde and aldehydes. The Nurture Collection by Designtex is available for use on furniture from any manufacturer. These textiles have been tested and approved on the majority of Nurture and Steelcase seating.
