Earthtex™
Earthtex™ is a sustainable high performance woven wallcovering from the next generation of Hardwear™.
Earthtex has the same durability and practical maintenance as the other products in the category -but without the PVC. Earthtex is a solution-dyed, 100% TPO (thermoplastic olefin) yarn. It does not contain any heavy metals or plasticizers. In addition, it is processed at much lower temperatures than PVC,thus using less energy in production. Earthtex starts as a polypropylene (PP) core, which is coated with olefin (a blend of polypropylene and polyethylene). These olefins do not contaminate one another, thus the Earthtex yarn waste (from either the extrusion or weaving process) can be recycled into making more yarn. Once coated, Earthtex can be referred to as an extruded monofilament. Crafted on a polypropylene warp, Earthtex's homogenous construction was designed for recyclability once a reclamation program is put into place. Patterns (currently in the early architectural stages of development) are tailored and subtle, defined by sophistication and an architectural sensibility. As olefins, they're high performance, making them ideal for healthcare, hospitality and corporate spaces.
Macula is designed to show off the weave structure and the beauty of the yarn.
In Tectonic, surface interest is created through the use of a tape yarn.
